easYgen 3000 serie

The easYgen-3000 Series controllers are available in several models and packages.

easYgen-3100-P1, easYgen-3200-P1: the Package 1 "Standard" models, for isolated operation of a single genset or load sharing of up to 32 gensets in islanded and/or parallel operation with a single utility.

easYgen-3100-P2, easYgen-3200-P2: the Package 2 "Cogeneration" models include all the features of the easYgen-3100/3200-P1 versions with additional analog I/O expansion capability for gas engine cylinder temperature monitoring and protection, plus three tunable P.I.D.'s that can be applied to analog outputs for controlling process valves, etc.&


easYgen-3400-P1, easYgen-3500-P1: the Package 1 "Complex System" models include all the features of the easYgen-3100/3200-P2 versions, along with a dedicated CANopen network for connectivity to up to 16 LS-5 Circuit Breaker Controls, allowing control of complex distribution systems having multiple utility feeds and tie breakers, and parallel load sharing of up to 32 generators on up to 32 different bus segments.

easYgen-3400-P1 Marine, easYgen-3500-P1 Marine: all the features of the easYgen-3400/3500-P1 versions (including connectivity to LS-5 Marine) with additional Det Norske Veritas (DNV), German Lloyds (GL), and Bureau Veritas (BV) marine approvals (as well as ABS and LR).

easYgen-3400/3500-P1 Rental: all the features of the easYgen-3400/3500-P1 version (including connectivity to LS-5's) with additional features for the rental genset market, including 4 switchable parameter sets (selectable via 2 discrete inputs) for changing system rated voltage, frequency, real and reactive power, application and breaker transition modes, and control setpoints.

easYgen-3400-P2, easYgen-3500-2: the Package 2 "Enhanced I/O" models mimic the features of the easYgen-3400/3500-P1 versions (including connectivity to LS-5's) but with an expanded onboard discrete and analog I/O set rather than expansion through external I/O modules.

All the above models are available with either 1-amp or 5-amp current measurement inputs.

easYgen 2000 serie

The easYgen-2000™ Series is a compact, affordable genset control and protection package for synchronizing and load sharing of up to 16 gensets in island operation or parallel operation of a single unit with a utility.

Its integrated load-dependent, start/stop programming allows you to define how gensets are brought on- and off-line to support changing load demands. It even works with a mix of different sized engines, so you can maintain the spinning reserve you need while optimizing fuel efficiency.


Advanced interface capability provides communication at the genset control level, up to the system network level, and to your desktop half a world away.

The easYgen-2000™ Series works with many common industrial interfaces:

  • CANopen for peer-to-peer load sharing

Woodward’s easYgen-300™ Series provides affordable, value-packed genset controllers for auto start and transfer switch applications. They provide all the essential functionality for stand-by diesel genset applications with monitoring, protection, and event recording options common to higher-end controls.

Position inputs are used to interlock the GCB and MCB internally, ensuring that both can’t be closed at the same time and eliminating the need for external relays

PID tuning CAT ADEM equipped gensets

Woodward's actiVgen engine speed control is designed specifically for use on Caterpillar diesel engines equipped with ADEM electronic control modules.The actiVgen control does not replace the ADEM control; rather it is used as a separate, external primary speed control with user-configurable PID settings.

The actiVgen control gives the user full access to tune the Caterpillar engine directly, which can save time and expense during commissioning. The actiVgen control frees the user to make regular "maintenance" tuning adjustments over time to maintain optimum system performance as operating conditions change.

Remote control panel for easYgen-3000XT Series genset controls

Woodward’s RP-3000XT is a touch screen remote control and annunciation panel for use with the easYgen-3000XT Series controls. It is particularly useful with the back panel mounted easYgen-3100XT/3400XT, providing control from the front panel with greatly reduced wiring to the access door, while keeping high voltage connections located safely on the back panel.

The RP-3000XT allows remote control and visualization. It offers all the HMI resources that the display variant easYgen-3200XT/3500XT offers, but with state-of-the-art touch screen technology. Irrespective of the easYgen-3000XT variants, this compact HMI solution connects to up to 32 XT controls (select and access one easYgen-3000XT at a time)

Remote control panel for easYgen-3000 Series generator control

Woodward’s RP-3000 is a remote control and annunciation panel for use with the back-panel mounted easYgen-3100/3400 or door-mounted easYgen-3200/3500 genset controls. The RP-3000 is an ideal solution for door-mounted applications, providing control from the front panel with greatly-reduced wiring to the access door, while keeping high-voltage connections located safely on the back panel.

The RP-3000 allows remote control and visualization. It has the same look and feel of the easYgen-3200/3500 genset control, enabling user-friendly transition between genset control sources. Each RP-3000 remote panel communicates with a single easYgen-3000™ Series genset control.

LS-5 serie

Multiple Circuit Breaker Control & Protection

The LS-5 Series are synchronizer and load share controllers with integrated protective functions. They are designed to enable complex power management applications with multiple incoming mains and bus breakers in combination with easYgen-3400/3500 equipped genset controllers.

The LS-5 devices will manage synchronization, loading and unloading on each bus segment and send the required voltage and frequency references via CAN bus to the easYgen-3400/3500 genset controllers. LS-5 devices which are located on the incoming mains breakers will automatically detect mains failures and start the corresponding gensets accordingly.

Woodward’s Load Share Gateway (LSG) is a communication converter specifically designed to operate the easYgen-2000™ and easYgen-3000™ Series with Woodward`s EGCP-2 systems or analog load share controllers in a single load share network.

The LSG supports your retrofit business by integrating the easYgen-2000™ and easYgen-3000™ Series into existing analog load share line coupled applications.
